What a Weekend

Two weekends ago, We went to the ER. It was around 11:30pm and we were all on our bed. Next thing we know, Nate falls off the bed and hits the back of his head on the corner of our dresser. The blood is flowing! I'm afraid to look at it, but finally work up my nerve. It wasn't a big cut, but it was deep and obviously needed some stitches. Funny thing, earlier that day Nate told me he wanted to stay up till 1 o'clock in the morning. Well, he got to stay up until 2! Not a great pic. He ended up needing 1 staple.

The next night, Nate is riding our big leather tote that we store blankets in like it's a horsey. Well, lets just say the horsey bucked him off and this happened....

We ended up taking care of this one ourselves.

Again, not a great pic. The next day was probably the worst b/c his eye was basically swollen shut. I'm sure this is just the beginning of our ER visits.

Oh man...have we been there. We do the go to the bathroom and turn the lights off, wait a minute and turn the lights on and see if her eyes dialate...if so we try to keep her up for 2 hours and then she can sleep. That is much better medicine than what you can get at our hospital! Ellie is beautiful. I hope I got her name right, there are so many of you who have Ellie's and Ella's and others really close that I keep getting confused! I have been meaning to call you for about a year or so now. I really have been meaning to call you for the last several months. I wanted to tell you in person we were having a baby and never did call you then have been meaning to call you this last week or 2 to tell you we are having a little boy named Malachi. We are very excited. He is a very active little guy. Loves to kick and play! Well I will try to call you this week! If you and Matt (and family) are ever ready for a vacation our way we would love to have you. In the next month I will have our guest suite completed and ready for visitors! It will have 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with fresh paint and new carpet. I am very excited to start getting all of our projects done and everyone moved to get ready for Malachi. Gotta go tend to Moriah...talk to you later. Dawn
